Hi! My name is Sarah Green and I am the business owner of Samuy & Co. - home to Samuy Samoyeds (pronounced Sam-oo-ee).

Samuy & Co. opened as an offical small family owned business in Toowoomba, SE QLD, mid 2022. 

​

Originally the idea sparked while I was working as a dog groomer in 2015, that then led to the purchase of my first Samoyed, Kuma, in 2016. Owning Kuma, opened up a whole new world for me as we attended dogs sports and Samoyed meet ups together. Along the way, we have met so many amazing like-minded people.

With my grooming background, I started offering double coated dog grooms in late 2016 to other people in Toowoomba. This was great for a few months as I was in-between jobs, but when I began working full time again, I had to cut back the grooming to accomodate. I am now working as a part-time veterinary nurse and doing this has allowed me to officially reopen my double coated dog grooming business from home!

Along with my love of grooming and vet nursing, breeding and showing dogs has been something I have been interested in from a young age. When Kuma came into my life, we attended many dog shows together and I quickly knew that breeding healthy pedigree dogs was definitely something I was going to work towards.

In 2017, I started doing a lot of research on breeding, genetic diseases, as well as looking at pedigrees and how to pick 2 compatible dogs in order to better the breed. This lead to my Grandmother and I purchasing Keisha in 2018.

After owning Samoyeds for 3 years and spending lots of my time at shows and speaking to many experienced breeders, I sat my breeding exam through Dogs Queensland in 2019 and was able to obtain my breeders prefix - 'SAMUY'.

​

When I finally achieved my goal of obtaining my breeders prefix, it didn't take long for my first litter to be planned. I have now been blessed with a few beautiful litters over the past few years. Our breeding goals will always be to raise genetically clear, healthy dogs that fit the ANKC Samoyed Standard that are able to do what they were bred for. These dogs are our family and we devote so much time to them (really, they run our lives). Our puppies are all raised in our home and we only ever want them to go the best families possible.

Samuy & Co. is now home to 4 Samoyeds - Kuma, Apple, Keisha & Sage, a Shetland Sheepdog - Pepper, a menagerie of birds (sun conures, green cheek conures and peach faces - which we occasionally have hand raised babies available) and our 2 silkie chickens - Mrs Fetta & Mrs Blue-vein.

Animals have always been such a huge part of my life and they always will be. While it has taken me many years to get where I am today, I am so excited to see where our hard work takes us and we hope to continue meeting amazing people and animals along the way!
