As Samuy & Co. is only a small kennel based in our home, we are unfortunately limited with how many dogs we can keep at a time and because the age of our bitches and dogs play a massive part in reproduction health, we may want to have a litter out of them before they are too old. While we do endeavour to keep as many amazing dogs as we can, we simply just don't have the space we need to be able to do that (... for now!)

Occasionally, we have a puppy in a litter that we'd love to keep, but we simply cannot at that point in time. As well as this, we are so very attached to our dogs and want them to stay with us forever, rather than keeping them all to begin with and then rehoming them later in life if they do not quite fit our needs.

So, at this point in time, we would like to start offering co-ownership homes to the right people. This allows the puppy to begin their life with their forever family but allows us to show them at conformation shows and potentially look at using them in our breeding programs if they pass health testing and bring attributes to the breed that we are looking for.

We also want everything to be black and white for both us and a potential owner. This means that the dog comes with an additional signed agreement to our puppy contract.

As a very brief outline of what to expect with a co-ownership, Samuy & Co. retain all rights of the dog until the terms and conditions of the contract are met, general costs of owning the dog (feeding, grooming, vet fees, insurance etc) will be paid by the potential owner (yourself) and the dog must be made available to Samuy & Co. for health testing, breeding and showing (all costs associated with showing and breeding to be paid by Samuy & Co.).
